My Favorite Season

My Favorite Season...

My favorite season is autumn, more commonly known as the fall. I think this season is one of the most beautiful and most comfortable time of the year. The leaves on all the trees become all different hues of reds, oranges, and yellows. The air becomes crisp, it is usually sunny and warm during the day, and cool at night, making it the perfect weather to sleep in! Due to the fluctuating temperatures in the fall, dressing in layers is a popular way to accommodate the changing weather. This is another reason I love the fall, the fashion is great. During September, October, and November, we can wear vests, cute sweaters, light scarves, boots, and light jackets. Once it gets too cold, some of these clothes can't be worn anymore, so I cherish the few months I can wear my vests and cute boots!

Besides the weather and the clothes, I love the fall for all its autumnal foods! Apples, pears, squash, sweet potatoes, pomegranates, mushrooms, and cauliflower.  My mom always makes us butternut squash soup in the fall, it is so delicious! My family always goes to an apple farm in Pennsylvania in October. We get apples, fresh made apple cider, and my favorite, apple cider doughnuts. Plus, in November it is Thanksgiving, and we get to eat all the great seasonal foods and more! I cannot wait to eat turkey, mashed potatoes, baked sweet potatoes, beans, apple pie, and pumpkin pie!
